Does Tesco Car Insurance cover windscreen repair?

Your insurance policy includes windscreen cover, unless you opted for the ‘value’ insurance policy – in which case it won’t be. This covers you if your windscreen becomes chipped or broken while you are insured. You are also covered if the bodywork of the car becomes damaged by broken windscreen or window glass.

If your windscreen is damaged and you need to arrange for repair, you can call Tesco Glass Line on 0845 677 8888. If you opt for one of Tesco’s chosen glass companies, your cover is unlimited. However, if you want to use a different glass company, the most that Tesco will pay is £125 for replacement and £40 for repair. All claims made for windscreen repair will not affect your no claim discount.
